Why “UNION STRAW” you may ask? Those familiar with the history of Foxborough know that this gem of Norfolk County was once deemed the “Straw Hat Capitol of the World” as the Union Straw Works was headquartered just a couple blocks away off nearby Wall Street. This massive factory was home to thousands of workers and helped establish the town as a major player in commerce and industry before the facility unfortunately burned to the ground in late May of 1900.UNION STRAW is throwback to yesteryear in name alone, as this new restaurant is sure to be part of Foxborough’s growing future.
