Owner Cheri Copelin-Sims opened as Salon Nouveau, an Aveda Concept Salon, on the corner of Ironwood Dr & Edison Rd in South Bend, In, in 1990. In 6 years that space was no longer adequate for her growing business so she bought and renovated the building that has been home to one of the salon Nouveau locations since 1996. Ten years later it was time to expand again, this time by adding a second location, an Aveda Lifestyle Salon & Spa, in the new Heritage Square Shopping Center in Granger, In. This space was expanded again fall of 2011. Cheri spent much of the first 20 years of her career traveling for product companies as an educator. Whenever she was not “behind the chair” caring for her clients, she would be doing platform work or workshops to share her talent & experience with others. In the following 23 years as a salon owner, this history has created a great learning environment for growing a great salon TEAM!
