Salon Hype specializes in wearable hair. Says owner Ross Bartolomei, “I’ve observed how so many stylists are busy following trends and miss what I believe is the “it” factor. My clients are too busy to stand in front of a mirror with a blow dryer and flat iron trying to replicate a complicated style. There is always a time and a place for glamour, and I love that, but I’m all about keeping it real, effortless and wearable for my clients. And, in my twenty-five years of styling hair that hasn’t changed.” In addition, Salon Hype is an ammonia-free concept salon, where clients have an alternative to traditional haircolor treatments. Salon Hype is also the first L’Oreal Professional Concept Salon to open in Illinois. Bartolomei has established a thriving relationship with L’Oreal Professional, partnering with them for education and a shared commitment to ammonia-free and safe hair care, color and treatment products. Established in 2006. We opened our doors in 2006. It was the realization of a lifelong dream of opening a salon where we not only nurture new talent, but we’ve brought our own brand of wearable, gorgeous hair to our clientele. In ten years, we now have three locations — La Grange, Burr Ridge, and Oak Brook Terrace. Our “city chic, suburban street” philosophy holds true to this day and we are equally proud of our thriving relationship with L’Oreal Professional, partnering with them for education and a shared commitment to ammonia-free and safe hair care, color and treatment products, allowing us to offer our clients the best possible salon experience and dazzling results.
