Following in his mother’s footsteps, in 1982 Jack Call opened the doors to the first AVEDA Concept Salon on the West Coast with the dream of developing a creative team of well-educated and highly trained individuals who shared his passion of spreading love and beauty. Originally located on 6th Ave in Tacoma, JAX moved to downtown Gig Harbor on Judson Street. In 2008 JAX moved to its current location on Harborview Drive while simultaneously expanding into a spa. Jack humbly dedicates the last 30 years of success to his mother’s inspiration and mentorship. Established in 1982. Jack Call opened the doors of Jax Salon on 6th Ave. Tacoma in 1982 with the dream of developing an inspired team of highly-educated, creative individuals with the passion of spreading beauty. Over the last 31 years, Jax has expanded into both a salon and spa located on Harborview Drive overlooking Gig Harbor and Mount Rainier. The basis and philosophy of our company encompasses our guest experience. Education is our fundamental foundation. Not only is Jax Salon + Spa a training facility for fresh talent to be positively mentored, but a community where service providers are highly encouraged and supported to enrich their career with education. Our team has trained not only in Seattle, but also has received education in New York City, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Boston and even Europe.
