Established in 1992. Heart of Country & Teaberries was once an old 2 room schoolhouse called “Crossroads” built in 1868. It was a school for 56 years. The last class to graduate was 1937-38. In 1941 it was converted into a private residence. 1992 was when the gift shoppe started and Teaberries cafe was added in 1998. In 2007 the cafe was expanded from the Olde Tea Room to five rooms which include The Lace Room, The Gathering Room, The Back porch (enclosed) and The 1st & 2nd Back rooms. Outdoor seating (weather permitting) is available for those who love to enjoy the outdoors while relaxing and enjoying some delicious homemade food. Fall 2009 Bill & Dawn Beedy purchased Heart of Country & Teaberries and continue to make every guest feel right at home with the quaint country charm.
