Established in 1989. Marcia DeBerard founded the Desert Rose Salon & Spa when she was tired of searching for a salon that put the customer first. It was at that point that the idea of opening up her own salon was born, not just any salon, but one that caters to the clients and is staffed with like minded people. Marcia eventually sold the salon in 2004 to her son, John and his wife, Robin. In 2004 Christina Kleveno started as a receptionist while still in High School. She went on to work at the front desk while getting her Bachelors Degree in Hospitality Management from CPP. After realizing how much she loved the hair industry, Christina decided to apply for the Apprenticeship program that the then owners, John & Robin, ran through the salon. After completing the program and becoming a licensed hairdresser she built her business behind the chair.
