In 2005, Dorian Bolden created Beyu Caffe as an idea to fill a unique void of combining a specialty coffee shop with a semi-upscale quick service bistro. The owner spent the next four years training as a cashier, barista, bar tender, and assistant manager at multiple food locations to learn the business and write a detailed business plan so that he could raise capital. By April 2009, enough capital was raised to open Beyu Caffe, and after 7 months of design and construction, Beyu Caffe opened its doors on December 9, 2009.
