Established in 2019. Located in the lobby of a building dating back to the late 1910’s, Barrister’s is on the first floor of the Esquire Hotel, originally the home of the First National Bank of Gastonia. The building was then owned by the National Bank of Commerce from 1934 to 1957, and at that point it became the Lawyers Building until 1982. The building was vacant for several years before restoration on the current project began and Barrister’s opened its doors in August of 2019 for dinner. The hotel on the floors above opened the week of Christmas the same year.
