Alewife celebrates the coastal waters of the Mid Atlantic region with an eye towards conservation and sustainability. Inspired cocktails, natural wines and a thoughtful beer list compliment the menu which features fruits of the sea both raw and chilled, whole roasted fish and the occasional land dweller, all in a beautiful and bright historic building in Church Hill. Established in 2018. Lee Gregory is a three-time James Beard Foundation Award semifinalist for best chef Mid-Atlantic and StarChef Rising Star. Though raised in South Carolina, Chef Gregory has a long culinary history in Virginia. He is a partner and chef at both The Roosevelt and Southbound.
