Mezze dishes such as hummus, baba ghanoush, tabouleh, stuffed grape leaves, as well as several varieties of fatayer (individual Syrian flat breads), chicken & lamb kabobs, kibbeh, falafel, foule & musabaha. Welcome! Established in 2019. Aleppo Sweets is a dream in the making. After fleeing the civil war in Syria, Youssef Akhtarini and his family were invited by the USA to resettle in Providence, Rhode Island in 2016. A baklava baker and sweet shop owner in Aleppo, Syria, it was clear to their US Mentor and friend Sandy Martin and her husband Victor Pereira that Youssef was determined to find a way to own his own bakery in his new home. After 2 years of friendship they have all partnered together to open Aleppo Sweets on Ives Street in Providence! We hope you feel at home in this little taste of Syria! Welcome!
