Established in 2013. Barbalu is the marriage (literally) of husband and wife team Stefano BARBAgallo and Adriana LUque. Their new Italian restaurant is open just a stones throw from the South Street Seaport. The couple prove their continued commitment to this historic district with the decision to rebuild in the same location as their old restaurant Barbarini Alimentari and Mercato, which was completely destroyed by Superstorm Sandy.
