In 1972, Frank Dedman Sr., his wife Carolyn and their children converted one of the former Blue Bird drive-ins on Airline Hwy. in Baton Rouge, Louisiana into Frank’s Restaurant focusing on the traditional southern breakfast featuring the “best homemade biscuits in the world!” In 1983, they moved the restaurant to a new building across the street where a partnership was born between Frank Sr., Carolyn, Frank Jr and Cathy Dedman. In 1999, Sr. and wife retired, leaving Jr. and wife to continue on the legacy. Shortly thereafter, their children came on board and the second location in Prairieville was opened in 2004. Throughout these years many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and spouses worked in this business thereby making Frank’s a true family owned and operated establishment.
